Hello! How can we help you?

My brake is worn out, how do I change it?

If the brake pads on the brakes on your Veloped/Walker get worn out, you will need to replace the brakes in order to ensure a proper brake function.

Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1. Detach the rear wheel.

Step 2. On the inside of the brake, unscrew and remove the 3 screws with a Phillips screwdriver and then remove the black plastic brake cover.

Step 3. Compress the brake and you can “unhook” and remove the brake cable from the brake, through the 2 cable slots.

Step 4. Unscrew and remove the screw that holds the brake with a 4mm Allen key.

Step 5. Attach the new brake with the 4mm Allen key.

Step 6. Push the cable adjuster screw into the brake, align its nut, and pull the brake cable end through the slot of the brake and attach it.

Step 7. Attach the black plastic cover with the 3 screws (Phillips screwdriver).

Step 8. Attach the wheel and test the brake.

Step 9. If the brake tension needs to be adjusted, please see separate instructions for this.

  • Great communication and product review…

Great communication, from my order being placed to the extras I placed at a later time. I felt like I was part of a family that listened to all my concerns because this was a large investment in my mobility they themselves were brilliant. This Velope…

  • The Veloped in south-west Germany (Black Forest)…

I am very enthusiastic about my Veloped. As I am almost 87 years old and unfortunately can no longer walk in the woods with Nordic walking poles, my daughter was looking for a real alternative to the ‘normal’ walker and she found it very quickly, she…

This walker is great for my daily walk! It goes over all obstacles effortlessly. The steering mechanism is genius. It will go where regular walkers cannot. Don't believe that other walkers can handle the obstacles outside; this is the walker you…

  • All round brilliant machine and super efficient people to advise.…

The Trionic 14er has made such a difference to my life. I pulled it out of the box and set off for a walk: down the slab path, and shallow steps, over the rough gravel drive, along the road and back to my door. The Trionic 14er is effortless to move.…

  • Wishing you a happy new year and partly thanking you for my Trionic 12er…

The delivery was remarkably fast, the packaging was beautifully designed and the 12er is perfect for my needs. I actually managed to get down to the beach to test it on sand and am very happy with the result. In addition, it is so quiet on all surfac…

  • Works wonderfully…

I am writing this review for my 95-year-old mother.
The Walker has significantly increased her mobility. Previously, she had considerable problems with the old cobblestones and unpaved paths in Lübeck. Now with her Walker, she can visit us again. T…

  • Great health and pleasure benefit…

Due to an increasing neurological problem, I could only walk about 100 m before having to stop and sit down. On my first outing with the Walker, I could easily do a 400 m distance without the need to stop. I have gradually been able to increase my di…
