Product Review

Thank you for giving freedom back to my husband

Rating:

What was your concern with this review?

My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2005 and as the symptoms progressed, his mobility and confidence to get out and walk diminished. He had been using ski-pole type sticks and although successful a few years ago, they no longer give enough support and stability. He also needs to sit down more frequently. There aren't many seats on the walks we enjoy in the countryside, setting off a cycle of panic and worsening freezing gait (Parkinsons).
After much research, worrying about the suitability and expense we got the Veloped Tour, being the most suitable for the type of off-road walks we enjoy.
His strength isn't what it used to be so we had concerns he would not have the strength to push the Veloped, but it has been fine. We are enjoying many walks again. Mike's confidence, mood and muscle tone have all improved considerably.
So many thanks for giving him (and therefore both of us) the keys to freedom!!

  • Great health and pleasure benefit…

Due to an increasing neurological problem, I could only walk about 100 m before having to stop and sit down. On my first outing with the Walker, I could easily do a 400 m distance without the need to stop. I have gradually been able to increase my di…

  • Stable freedom of movement with optimal braking…

Without a walker or two-sided crutches, I am permanently bound to a location. I have tried several rollators over the years, such as the Nitro, the Topro Troja and the Alevo Carbon.
The biggest weakness of all rollators are the brakes.

We bought the Tour 12er for our 92-year-old mother so that she can continue to walk her beloved forest paths after a triple pelvic fracture, which has permanently limited her mobility. After initial protests (I don't need a rollator, I'm not that fra…

  • Walking again…

Since buying my veloped I have been able to walk around my village and walk to my freinds again. By taking off both front and back wheels it even fits into my sports car so I can take it out for days out. It has given me a new lease of life. I only w…
