How to Choose the Right Size Mobility Walker for Seniors

Selecting the correct size mobility walker is essential for comfort, posture and safety. A walker that does not fit properly can cause back and shoulder pain and increase the risk of falls. This guide walks you through every step to find your perfect fit.

Measuring the Correct Handle Height

Handle height is the most critical measurement. Stand upright with your arms relaxed at your sides. Your wrist crease should align with the top of the walker handles. Trionic walkers offer multiple handle height settings to accommodate users from 155 cm to 200 cm tall.

Weight Capacity and Frame Size

Always check that the walker supports your body weight. The Trionic Walker 9er and 12er are certified for users up to 130 kg, while the Walker 14er supports up to 150 kg. Frame width also affects stability – a wider frame provides better balance on uneven terrain.

Wheel Size for Your Environment

Trionic offers wheel sizes from 9 inches (Walker 9er) to 14 inches (Walker 14er). Larger pneumatic tyres provide superior performance on gravel, grass, and cobblestones. Choose your wheel size based on where you walk most – urban streets, nature trails or mixed surfaces.

Try Before You Buy

Visit a Trionic dealer for a personalised fitting session. A specialist will adjust handle height, brakes and saddle post to suit your exact body measurements. A properly fitted walker dramatically improves your independence and quality of life.
